Hi everyone. My name is David and I am a university student from Toronto, Canada. My major is political science which I am very passionate about although it is certainly not my only interest. Sports, music, film, and writing are all hobbies of mine and I especially love travel. Before going back to school I worked as an ESL instructor in Singapore which allowed me the opportunity to travel and explore many places including Japan. I have always had a great deal of curiosity about societies, cultures, and languages from around the world and currently I am trying my best to study Japanese. I look forward to helping you with your English and developing friendships. See you soon!

Hello dear potential students,
My name Shaina, a student of History at McGill University. I'm passionate about international politics, social justice issues, revolutions, language, the piano, and intercultural exchange. I operate on the philosophy of mutualism- mutual respect, mutual learning - and think it's incredibly important to listen as well as teach. As I have many friends and family to whom I help teach English as a second language, and having tutored both English and French to Canadian students, I possess much experience in teaching languages to students, from beginners to those who are in advanced levels. My favourite quotation is by Martin Luther King: "Human salvation lies in the hands of the creatively maladjusted"

Hello hello hello my friends :)
My name is Patrycja and I am from Ottawa Ontario. My name is spelled funny because I have a polish background. I will be entering my last year in University as a Linguistics student. This means that I know everything about English:). I have learned every aspect of English (morphology (how words are made), syntax (how words fit into sentences), phonology (the rules of certain sounds being beside each other like plurals and past tenses), pragmatics (the meaning behind what something is said), phonetics (how to put your mouth, teeth and tongue together to form the perfect pronunciation of any sound in English) and even semantics(the literal meaning of a sentence in terms of ambiguity). I have taken many many classes that help teach English to students that have English as a Second or Third language through speech and even through writing. I think English is so much fun! I love teaching English and helping everybody understand it.
I love music (from classical to heavy metal to even Alvin and the chipmunks heehee), I love sports (I used to wrestle for my school but now just for myself), I love movies.. all different types of movies, I love cooking, children and babies, arts and crafts, stories, writing and even teaching how to write in English !! I am a personal editor:). I also love reading and also games!! I am open to any conversation! :) I really look forward to having a great time with students and helping them improve their English in any part of the English language.
I am always very happy and full of energy :). I am aslo available through e-mail if you have any questions! :) I hope you are excited to have a nice chat and lesson with me :) I will make it super duper fun!:)Talk to you soon :):)

Hi! My name is Archan, and I am a student at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. I am majoring in honours economics with a minor in mathematics. I really enjoy hiking, computers, video games, playing the violin and following the latest economic and political news.
Both of my parents are immigrants and most of my family lives in India, so I am very familiar conversing with those who have learned English as a second language. And I hope to use this experience in my classes here. But that's enough about me! I look forward to learning more about you and your interests.

I grew up with a large appreciation for the written and spoken word. As a psychology student, I love human interaction and encouragement. The combination of both my love for language and human interaction causes me to truly enjoy working with others and encouraging them in understanding the english language. My other interests include: singing, reading, several genres of music, dancing, and painting.

Hello!
My name is Ellen, and though I'm from Winnipeg, I'm currently living in Leipzig, Germany for one year. I'm pursuing a career in teaching English here, and my students include children, teens, university students and business professionals. I received my Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Winnipeg, and my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba.
I love travelling, and hope to someday see countries in Asia, South America and Africa. I'm also very interested in learning languages - I've grown up learning English and French, and have been learning German for the past year, so I know how challenging language learning can be! But I also know how enjoyable it can be when you're interested in the materials and working with an encouraging and helpful teacher - I try to bring these elements into all classes I teach.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you to improve your English - hope to see you soon!

Aside from having a life long interest in politics, some of my hobbies include snowboarding, photography, playing guitar, and learning about new languages and cultures. I look forward to helping you refine your english and will do my best to cater to your needs in learning it.
